Highway System
The Municipality of Murrysville maintains approximately 130 miles
of roads, while some 40 miles are maintained by the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation (PennDOT). The two-mile Harrison City
Road is maintained by Westmoreland County.
The major state-maintained (PennDOT) roads are: State Route Numbers:
22, 66, 286, 366 and 380, Hilty Road, Murrysville-Trafford Road,
Italy Road, School Road South, Kemerer Hollow Road, Upper Logan
Ferry Road, Manor Road, Wiestertown Road, and Mellon Road. Any concerns

Maintenance of state roads by the Municipality, including patching
of potholes and removing of snow, is forbidden by law
Primary roads serving the Murrysville
area are:
- Route 22 runs East-West across Murrysville and is the main
route to Monroeville, Pittsburgh, and Altoona. PennDOT has started
a major improvement of this important highway.
- Old Wm. Penn Highway - A two lane highway that parallels
Route 22.
- Route 286 - Runs North-South along Western and Northern
areas of the Municipality. Pennsylvania DOT is planning a major
improvement to Route 286.
- Route 366 - Runs along North-East boundary of Murrysville.
- Pleasant Valley Rd. - A two lane road running South out
of Murrysville.
- Route 380 - Runs across Northern end of Murrysville.
- Route 66 / Toll 66 - Just outside the Municipality, this
road provides a limited-access connection to Route 30 in Greensburg,
and the Pennsylvania Turnpike at New Stanton.
Public Transit
Public transit is provided in Murrysville by the Westmoreland
County Transit Authority (Route 7A) and the Port
Authority of Allegheny County. ( Route HP on Rt. 286 and 380)
Senior Citizens Transport
- senior citizens transportation is available
through a local taxi company. Once registered, senior citizens 60
years of age and older are eligible for reduced fare transportation
through Yellow Cab of Greensburg. 724-838-0700.
Airports
Arnold
Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe provides charter service
and regularly scheduled commuter flights to Pittsburgh International
Airport.
Pittsburgh
