The Municipal Government encourages and depends upon active participation
of the citizens of Murrysville. The boards and commissions established
by Murrysville are an important resource providing advice and technical
expertise to the Council and Administration.

Information Technology Advisory Committee
The Information Technology Advisory Committee
is responsible for providing leadership in recommending guidelines
to ensure the quality and service of municipal communication outlets
including Community Access (Channel 19), Municipal website
and use of Information Technology, planning and implementation of
community awareness and information campaigns.
Environmental Advisory Commission
The four member Environmental Advisory Commission
advises local governmental agencies, including the Planning Commission,
the Parks and Recreation Commission, Council, and the Mayor on matters
dealing with the environment.
Finance Committee
The members of the Finance Committee
provide expert financial advise to the Municipality.
Franklin Township Municipal Sanitary Authority
FTMSA as an authority of the Municipality
of Murrysville provides sanitary sewer service to Murrysville and
some surrounding areas.
Library Board
The seven member Library Board of Trustees
represents the publics interest in achieving good library service.
Murrysville Donations and Gifting Committee (MDGC)
The five member Murrysville Donations and
Gifting Committee (MDGC) advises and recommends on all aspects
of donations to the Municipality including naming rights, etc.
Parks and Recreation Commission
The seven member Parks and Recreation
Commission studies issues that affect parks and recreation in
Murrysville, suggesting modifications or additions to ordinances
where necessary.
Personnel Board
The three member Personnel Board advises
Council on personnel related matters.
Planning Commission
The seven member Planning Commission
advises Council on all matters related to planning and development
in the Municipality
Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals
The PA Uniform Construction Code mandates the establishment of
a Board of Appeals, and outlines the standards
and requirements related thereto.
Zoning Hearing Board
The five-person Zoning Hearing Board
hears appeals from property owners for relief from the Municipal
Zoning Ordinance.
