The Municipality of Murrysville has elected to enforce and administer the PA Uniform Construction Code. Chapter 403, Section 121, of the Uniform Construction Code mandates the establishment of a Board of Appeals, and outlines the standards and requirements related thereto.

1. The Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals shall be composed of five (5) members.
   
2. The term of office for each member shall be four (4) years, commencing on the first Monday of January following his or her appointment, except for the initial term of each appointee on the formation of the Appeals Board. Appointments shall be made at the Organizational meeting of Council for each member whose terms has expired.
   
3. The within named five (5) individuals are herein appointed to the Municipality of Murrysville Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals. The initial term of each of said individuals shall expire as hereinafter provided.
   
4. Three (3) of the five (5) members shall constitute a quorum necessary for the conduct of hearings.
