Crime Prevention Unit
Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Murrysville Police Department Crime Prevention
Unit to work in partnership with the citizens of the community to
promote crime prevention awareness through teamwork, creative problem
solving, education and training.
The Murrysville Police Department maintains a very proactive Crime
Prevention Unit. The unit has two crime prevention officers, Sergeant
Bob Jones and Officer Rich Keeler, who are certified by the International
Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners, Inc. as Crime Prevention
Specialists. It is their goal to provide the necessary crime prevention
services to enhance public awareness in an effort to deter crime
in the residential and business communities.
