Open Burning
The Municipal Code contains rules on open burning in Murrysville. The code includes
monitoring, attendance, safety requirements, and size restrictions. No
open burning is allowed on Sunday or Monday. Burning of garbage is prohibited.
Violations of the Fire Prevention Code, Chapter 115 of the Code of the Municipality,
may result in fines up to $1,000. For more information call the Community

Mailbox Damaged
The driver will report the accident to the public works director, and the municipality
will repair the damage - do call to report the accident and kindly allow a few
days for the repair.

Community Center Rentals
In order to guarantee a date will be held for you, you must submit an application
form (available from the receptionist at the municipal building) and two checks.
One for $50.00 for the refundable deposit and one for the rental amount which
will be based on whether you are a resident, business or individual renter and
the number of hours and room requested. Tours of the facility are available
by going to the Community Center Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. The Senior Citizens will be
happy to show you around.
Reserving a Park Pavilion
An application form must be completed (available from the > receptionist) and
two checks submitted. One, a $25.00 bond, will be returned after your event.
The other is a rental fee based on residency and whether you need electricity
in the pavilion. Both checks and application must be submitted in order to guarantee
the date.
Information on Voting
Where to vote is normally handled by the Election Bureau which is housed
at the Courthouse in Greensburg. Their number is 1-800-442-6926.
