Murrysville Title
Directions to Parks
The following directions are written assuming you were driving East into Murrysville on Route 22 from Monroeville. The directions start from the intersection of another road with Route 22. **(Note 1 - If you were driving West into Murrysville from Delmont on Route 22, the initial turn off Route 22 would be to the opposite of turn given in the instructions. ** A map showing park locations is available.

Bear Hollow Park
Take a left turn (Note 1) onto Vincent Hall Street (McDonald’s is there). (Note 1) Go straight through the next light. Vincent Hall Street becomes Sardis Road. Stay on Sardis Road until you come to Heather Drive. It is the entrance to the Heather Highlands plan. Take a left onto Heather Drive. It lasts one block and end in a T-junction. Take the right onto Forbes Trail Road. Take the first left onto Trouthaven Drive. Go almost to the top of the hill and on your right will be a driveway leading into the park. There is a brown sign saying Bear Hollow Park.

Chambers Park
Take a right turn (Note 1) onto Mill Street (across from McDonald’s). Take the first right onto Meadowbrook Road. Follow the road up the hill to McWilliams Road. Take a left. Then take your third left into the Park. There is a brown sign letting you know where it is. Go slow it is hard to see.

Duff Park
Turn right (Note 1)onto School Road South (at Sheetz). The parking lot is on the right side of the road about a tenth of a mile from Route 22. A Duff Park Trail Map with trail descriptions is available for downloading in Adobe PDF format.

Haymaker Park (Communities Inc.)
Turn right (Note 1)onto Gates Ave.(three blocks past the McDonalds intersection) The parking lot for the Haymaker Park is on the left.

Lillian Kellman Nature Reserve
Take a left turn (Note 1) onto Vincent Hall Street (McDonald’s is there). Turn right at the next light onto old William Penn Hwy then take first left onto North Hills Rd. Follow North Hills Rd about 1/1/4 mile then turn right onto Meadow Gate Drive. Turn right at second street onto Kellman and the parking lot for the reserve is straight ahead.

Kovalczik Park
If driving East on Route 22, you need to go past the Murrysville business section and past the sign to town of Export. You will still be on Route 22 E. You will make a left turn (Note 1) onto Manor Road. There is a convenience store on the opposite corner. Travel to the fourth road on your left which is Carousel Drive. Take a left onto Carousel. You will see a brown sign pointing the way to the park. After a very short stretch there is a T-junction. Take a left there onto Surrey Drive and follow it to the park.

Murrysville Community Center
From the East:

  • Enter Murrysville on Route 22-heading west
  • Counting the light at the Sheetz gas station (on the left) as the first, continue through two more to the 4th light at Gates Avenue.
  • Enter the left turning lane and make the left onto Reed Blvd.
  • The first left (street) off Reed Blvd. is Carson Ave. Turn left
  • Pass the fence around the ball field (on left) and look for the paved driveway past the fence.
  • Turn left into the driveway.
  • Community Center is the single story building that has a Senior Citizen’s Center sign over the front door area.

From the West:

  • Enter Murrysville on Route 22-heading east
  • Stay on Rt. 22 through the lights at 1st intersection (Wendy’s on the right) and 2nd intersection (McDonald’s on the left).
  • Immediately after 2nd intersection, look for a right turn off Rt. 22 onto Gates Avenue (almost like an exit from a highway)
  • Turn onto Gates (right) and look for the 2nd right hand street, Carson Avenue
  • Make a right onto Carson Avenue
  • Pass the fence around the ball field (on left) and look for the paved driveway past the fence
  • Turn left into the driveway.
  • Community Center is the single story building that has a Senior Citizen’s Center sign over the front door area

Pedora Park
If driving East on Route 22, you need to go past the Murrysville business section and past the sign to town of Export. You will still be on Route 22 E. You will make a left turn (Note 1) onto Manor Road. Take the first left turn onto Wilson Road and follow it 3/4 mile to parking lot on the right.

Royal Highlands Ballfield and Bear Hollow Trail
Take a left turn (Note 1) onto Vincent Hall Street (McDonald’s is there). Go straight through the next light. Take first left (across from fire station) onto Logan Ferry Rd (it turns right after crossing the creek). Follow Logan Ferry Rd 1/2 mile to where it turns right again. Continue following Logan Ferry Rd another 1/4 mile and take Gun Club Rd which bears off to the right. The parking lot For Royal Highlands Field and the Bear Hollow Trail is on the left about 1/4 mile.

Senior Citizens Center
Turn right (Note 1) onto Carson Street (two blocks past the McDonalds intersection) The parking lot for the Senior Citizens Center and Community Center is on the left.

Staymates Log House and Barn

Turn right at Sheetz (Note 1) onto School Road South and continue about one mile. Turn right onto Round Top Road. Staymates Log House and barn is on left at about 1/4 mile.

Townsend Park
Take the left at Vincent Hall Street (McDonald’s ). Cross over the next intersection and it becomes Sardis Road. Go 4 miles on Sardis Road. You will pass the Municipal Building and Sloan School and some soccer fields. The next left is Twin Oaks Lane. Make a left turn into Twin Oaks Lane. Go about a half a mile. Townsend Park will be on your left. It has a brick entrance and is across from Bridgewood Drive. Take the driveway into the park. For the sports fields turn left at the first parking lot and follow the road to the fields.

Veterans & Beckwith Sports Fields
Take the left at Vincent Hall Street (McDonald’s ). Cross over the next intersection and it becomes Sardis Road. Go 4 miles on Sardis Road. The fields are on the left just past the Municipal Building.
