Fire protection in Murrysville is provided by three volunteer fire departments located strategically in the Municipality to provide quick response to emergencies.

1. The Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company is located on Sardis Rd. near the intersection with Old Wm. Penn Highway.
2. The Sardis Volunteer Fire Company is located on Saltsburg Rd. in the Northern end of the community.
3. White Valley Volunteer Fire Company is located on Old Wm. Penn Highway is located in the White Valley area toward the East end of the community.

Press Release - Required Registration of Fire Alarms
In accordance with Ordinance No. 660-04, which was approved by the Council of the Municipality of Murrysville on April 7, 2004, any residential or commercial organization that has a fire alarm system which is connected to an alarm control center must register their system with the Municipality. Residents/businesses with hard-wired smoke detectors which are not connected to any alarm control center do not need to register with the Municipality.
