Our newly-hatched spring event will have children ages 12 and under hopping down the bunny trail following scavenger hunt clues at Murrysville Community Park. An egg hunt for children ages 5 and under, spring activities with community organizations, photos with the Easter Bunny and more will be available. Bring your strollers and comfortable shoes for the scavenger hunt and dress for the weather!
The Murrysville Farmers’ Market, hosted by the Murrysville Recreation Department and Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company, is held Thursdays from 3-7 p.m. from June-September at the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company field located at 3235 Sardis Road. Tuesdays at Townsend offers live performances at Townsend Park on Tuesday evenings in the summer, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to relax under the trees for these intimate park performances. A food truck and beverages will be available each night!

Hosted by the Murrysville Export Rotary Club and in cooperation with the Recreation Department, the Chili Oktoberfest is offered annually in October at the Murrysville Volunteer Fire Company’s picnic pavilion at 3235 Sardis Road. Guests get to vote on their favorite of 30 chilies, with cash prizes awarded in hot and mild categories. A live band, college football on tv, beer sampling, hot dogs, kids’ activities and more make this the greatest fall event in the area! Click for more details and learn where to get tickets.
Trick-or-Treat on the Trail is held on the Westmoreland Heritage Trail, Murrysville Community Center location. This is a FREE event but PRE-REGISTRATION is required for children 10 & under. Come dressed in costume and trick or treat on the trail, collecting treats provided by local businesses and organizations. To Pre-Register please visit www.murrysvilleparecreation.com under Programs & Events and select Trick or Treat on the Trail. This is first come first served for the first 150 children.
Kick off the holiday season with Santa at Sardis! Held at Sardis Park , this outdoor holiday event with bonfires, campfires, games and kids’ activities puts everyone in the holiday spirit. Friends and family gather around the campfires sipping cocoa and roasting marshmallows, kids visit with Santa and enjoy activities provided by local businesses and organizations, vote on favorite gingerbread houses, then gather together to light the tree!
