The Foundation consists of a seven-member Board of Directors including one council member, the Mayor, the Director of Finance, the Director of Parks and Recreation, a liaison from the Murrysville Parks and Recreation Commission, and two residents at large.
John Kaye, President
John Kaye is the Chief Operating Officer for the Endowment at the University of Pittsburgh. John and his wife, Kim Anderson, an accounting professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, moved to Murrysville in 1995. John and Kim have two daughters, Meg and Stella, who have grown up in Murrysville and have frequently taken advantage of the wonderful parks that Murrysville has to offer. Kim frequently took the girls to the various parks for play dates when they were young, and they all witnessed the growth and development of Murrysville Community Park during soccer-playing days. Today, the entire family enjoys the parks for walks, runs, frisbee, or simply to watch the sunrise or sunset.
Dave Metzgar has been a resident of Murrysville for almost 25 years along with his wife, Dana, a high school English teacher at Franklin Regional. They have 2 daughters and have had many dogs over the years, and all of the family members have enjoyed the many parks of Murrysville. After many years of volunteering in the parks, he joined the Parks and Recreation Commission in 2017 and currently enjoys the Foundation board, as well.
