In the upcoming months the Murrysville Recreation Department will be offering a four part speaker series that will cover Stock Investing for Beginners, Amelia Earhart, Ulysses S. Grant, and Air Force One.

Stock Investing for Beginners

Are you interested in stock investing but don’t know where to start? For more than 40 years, Mike Zetwo’s hobby has been stock investing and wants to share his passion with you! Offered through the Murrysville Recreation Department, Mike will share what he has learned in this four-part Zoom webinar series. This program will run Thursdays, March 4-25 beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Amelia Earhart: The Enduring Mystery Surrounding Amelia Earhart's Disappearance in 1937

The disappearance of Amelia Earhart in 1937 is one of the world’s greatest mysteries. On Thursday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. Murrysville’s own Mike Silvert will share his experience on the 2017 National Geographic Society and TIGHAR’s expedition to Nikumaroro Island in hopes of uncovering what happened to Earhart. He will cover what was discovered about Amelia Earhart on this expedition and share personal experiences from this trip.

Life of Ulysses S. Grant

Ken Serfass is a professional living historian portraying Ulysses S. Grant and he will be coming to a computer screen near you on Friday, May 7 at 6:30 p.m. The Murrysville Recreation Department and Murrysville Community Library are partnering together to offer this unique experience. Learn all about the life of the man who became the 18th President of the United States of America in an evening where history will be brought to life!

Air Force One: An Honor, Privilege, and Pleasure to Serve

On Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m. Murrysville's own John L. Haigh, Sr. will share his experiences working as Chief Steward on Air Force One with Presidents H. W. Bush, Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter.
